Gratitude in Community - Wednesday, 01/21/2026

Scripture: 1 Chronicles 16:23–27

David’s song of thanksgiving is not sung alone. It is shared with the whole community. Gratitude, in Scripture, is something people practice together. When gratitude is spoken and shared, it shapes the identity of the community itself.

In a culture that often emphasizes individual experience, communal gratitude reminds us that faith is not meant to be lived in isolation. Hearing others name God’s goodness helps us recognize grace in our own lives. Gratitude grows when it is practiced together.

When communities regularly give thanks, they become places where hope is nurtured and where God’s presence is expected and celebrated.

Reflection Question:
Who has helped you notice God’s grace when you might have missed it on your own?

Practice:
Share one word of gratitude with someone today—about God, about them, or about life.

Prayer:
God of community, thank you for the people who walk with me. Help us encourage one another through shared gratitude. Amen.
