REAL TALK: Honest Conversations with God
A New Summer Series Beginning June 7
Sometimes life gets loud.
The worries keep spinning. The schedule never slows down. Relationships get complicated. The future feels uncertain. And even people who believe in God sometimes wonder:
“How do I even pray anymore?”
This summer, Monroe United Methodist Church invites you into a new worship series called REAL TALK: Honest Conversations with God.
Beginning June 7 and continuing through August 9, this series will explore how prayer connects with real everyday life — not just church life. Together we’ll talk honestly about stress, anxiety, purpose, forgiveness, exhaustion, hope, and learning how to connect with God in the middle of ordinary life.
Each week will connect with a phrase from the Lord’s Prayer while keeping the conversation practical, accessible, and grounded in everyday experiences people actually face. Whether you have prayed your whole life, stopped praying years ago, or are not even sure where to begin, this series is for you.
Throughout the summer we’ll explore questions like:
• How do I find peace when my mind won’t shut off?
• What if God is closer than I think?
• How do I let go of what’s weighing me down?
• What do I do when life feels out of control?
• How do I keep going when I’m exhausted?
REAL TALK is not about perfect words or pretending to have life together. It is about bringing our real selves to God and discovering that we are not alone.
Join us Sundays at 9:30 or 11:00 am, in person or online through Facebook, YouTube, and MonroeUMC.org.
No perfect people required. Just honest conversation and room for real life.
