Which Voice?: Friday, 04/24/2026

Scripture: Numbers 14:1–10

Devotion

Fear didn’t stay contained—it spread. What started with ten voices quickly became the mindset of an entire group. Before long, people who had seen God work were ready to give up and go back.

Fear is contagious. It spreads through conversations, environments, even our own thoughts. That’s why what we listen to matters.

Caleb and Joshua tried to offer a different voice. A voice of courage. A voice of trust. But it was harder to hear because fear was louder.

We face the same choice every day: which voice will we listen to? The one that keeps us stuck, or the one that invites us forward?

Reflection Question: What voices am I listening to that are shaping my level of fear or faith?

Action Step: Limit one source of negative input today (news, social media, etc.) and replace it with something encouraging.

Prayer: God, help me listen to voices that lead me toward courage and trust. Amen.
