Tuesday, 10/14/2025: Seeing with Compassion

Scripture: Luke 10:25–37 (Click to read text)

Key Verse: “When he saw him, he took pity on him.” (Luke 10:33)

The Samaritan’s greatness wasn’t found in knowledge or position—it was found in his compassion. He saw what others ignored. He stopped when others passed by. Compassion turned into action, and a stranger became a neighbor.
We often think love requires big gestures. But the Samaritan shows us love begins with eyes open to pain and hearts ready to respond.
Compassion sees what convenience overlooks. It doesn’t ask, “What will happen to me if I stop?” but “What will happen to them if I don’t?”

Reflection Question: Who might be lying “along your road” today—someone you’ve overlooked or avoided?

Action Step: Notice one person who’s hurting or alone. Offer a word, a text, or a small act of kindness.

Prayer: God of mercy, open my eyes to see as You see, my heart to feel as You feel, and my hands to serve as You serve. Amen.
