Scripture Reading: Luke 3:21–22
Before Jesus did anything publicly—before any miracle or teaching—a voice spoke: “You are my Son…with you I am well pleased.”
Identity came before performance.
Many of us live the opposite way. We chase approval, trying to prove we are enough. The world tells us our worth is tied to productivity, appearance, or comparison.
But what if your identity is not something you achieve—but something you receive?
The voice that tells you that you are loved and valued before you perform—that is the voice that sets you free.
Reflection Question:
Where do you most often look for validation?
Action Step:
Today, resist one urge to prove yourself. Instead, remind yourself: My worth is not earned today.
Prayer:
Remind me who I am at my core. Free me from chasing approval I already have.
