Stronger With Help – Monday, 09/15/2025

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 (Key Verse: v.12 – “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”)

Life can feel like a tightrope sometimes. Bills, kids’ schedules, health worries—there are days when it’s all you can do to stay balanced. Ecclesiastes reminds us that two people are better than one. In the ancient world, traveling alone was dangerous: you could fall, be attacked, or get lost. Companions meant survival.

In Monroe, “companions” might be a friend to carpool with, a neighbor to check in on you, or someone to share lasagna at Tuesday night’s dinner. When we let others walk alongside us, the weight feels lighter. And when we invite God to be that third strand, we find a strength that surprises us.

Don’t wait until a crisis forces you to reach out. Start weaving your cord now.

Reflection Question: Who has God placed in your life that you can lean on—or that might need you to lean in?

Action Step: Text or call one friend today to check in, even if you don’t “need” anything.

Prayer: Loving God, thank You for the people You’ve placed around me. Help me build cords of connection that are strong because Your love is woven through them. Amen.
