Noticing the Unseen - Tuesday, 01/20/2026
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:16–18
Paul invites us to look beyond what is visible and immediate to what is unseen and eternal. This does not mean ignoring pain or pretending struggles don’t matter. Instead, it means learning to see our lives within a larger story—one shaped by God’s grace and future.
Gratitude helps us practice this kind of vision. When we are thankful, we begin to notice gifts that do not announce themselves loudly: patience growing in us, relationships deepening, strength we didn’t know we had. These unseen gifts are often the very places where God is at work.
Living with gratitude trains our attention. It gently shifts our focus from what feels overwhelming to what is quietly being renewed within us, day by day.
Reflection Question:
What unseen gift might God be growing in you right now?
Practice:
Pause today and thank God for one unseen gift—character, growth, or resilience.
Prayer:
God, help me see beyond what is immediate. Open my eyes to the unseen work you are doing in me. Amen.
