Looking Back with Honesty and Grace

Scripture: Psalm 77:11–14

The end of the year invites reflection. Some moments we celebrate. Others we’d rather forget. The psalms remind us that remembering is not about pretending everything was good—it’s about noticing where God was present.

Reflection helps us see patterns: where we grew, where we struggled, where fear guided us, and where faith did. God meets us not only in success, but also in disappointment.

Looking back honestly allows us to move forward wisely. God’s faithfulness becomes clearer when we pause long enough to notice it.

As one year closes, God invites us to remember with gratitude and release with grace.

Reflection Question:
Where did you notice God’s presence this past year—even in difficulty?

Action Step:
Write down three moments from this year where you sensed God’s guidance or care.

Prayer:
Faithful God, thank You for walking with me through this year. Help me release what needs to stay behind. Amen.
