Light in the Darkness — Monday 2/9

Scripture:
John 1:1–9

John’s Gospel reminds us that light shines in darkness, and darkness cannot overcome it. Darkness is real — fear, grief, conflict, uncertainty. Yet light is stronger.

Sometimes we wait to shine until life feels perfect. But light is most visible in darkness. Your faith, kindness, or calm presence may matter most when things feel hard.

God does not ask us to erase darkness. God invites us to bring light into it. Even small light changes the atmosphere of a space.

When you show compassion, you are participating in God’s work of pushing back darkness.

Reflection Question:
Where do you see darkness around you that might need a little light?

Action Step:
Send a supportive message to someone going through a hard time.

Prayer:
Light of the world, shine through me in places that feel dim or heavy. Amen.
