Thursday, February 5 — Letting Go of the Need to Win

Scripture: Philippians 2:1–5; James 1:19–20

Many conflicts persist because we want to win. To be right. To be recognized. Scripture invites us into a different posture—one shaped by humility and patience.

Letting go of the need to win doesn’t mean abandoning truth. It means trusting God with outcomes. When we stop chasing control, we make space for peace.

Listening becomes possible when defensiveness fades. And love often speaks most clearly when it slows down.

A stronger life isn’t built on being right—it’s built on being rooted.

Reflection Question:
Where are you clinging to the need to win instead of the call to love?

One Practice for Today:
Practice listening without correcting in one conversation.

Prayer:
God, release me from the need to win. Teach me how to love with humility. Amen.
