Joy That Doesn’t Depend on Results-Friday, 01/16/2026
Scripture: John 16:20–22
Jesus tells his followers they will grieve—but that their joy will not be taken away. He doesn’t promise easy outcomes. He promises lasting presence.
Christian joy isn’t tied to immediate success or visible progress. It’s rooted in resurrection hope—a future God is still bringing into being.
This kind of joy holds steady even when results are unclear.
Reflection Question:
Where are you tempted to measure joy by outcomes instead of trust?
Concrete Practice:
Release one outcome you’ve been clinging to and place it in God’s care.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me trust you when outcomes remain uncertain. Amen.
