Scripture: Acts 2:42–47 (click to read)
Key Verse: “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.” (Acts 2:46)
The early church didn’t just meet for worship—they ate together. Daily. Joyfully. In their homes, over simple meals, they built relationships that became the foundation of a movement that changed the world.
Breaking bread wasn’t just about food—it was about fellowship. Every meal reminded them of Jesus’ presence and promise. They didn’t need a fancy sanctuary; the Spirit filled their kitchens.
You don’t need to be a chef or have a big house. You just need an open heart. When we share our tables, God shares grace.
Reflection Question: What step can you take to make your table a place of grace and joy?
Action Step: Plan a “grace meal” this weekend—invite a friend, family, or neighbor. Begin with a simple prayer and thank God for the gift of shared food and love.
Prayer: Gracious God, thank You for feeding both body and soul. Fill my table with laughter, kindness, and Your presence. Make every meal a reminder of Your love. Amen.
