Monday, Nov. 3 – Chosen and Loved
Scripture: “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” — Colossians 3:12
Reflection:
Before we do anything for God, we must remember who we are to God. Paul begins not with a list of commands, but with identity: you are chosen, holy, and dearly loved. Everything else flows from that truth.
When we start from love, we can live with love. But when we start from insecurity, our actions become performances—we try to prove our worth through perfection or busyness. Today, pause and breathe: you are already God’s beloved.
Clothing ourselves with compassion begins in that place of security. Only loved people can love freely. Only forgiven people can forgive deeply.
Action Step:
Each morning this week, before you get dressed, pause and pray: “Lord, remind me that I am chosen, holy, and dearly loved.”
Prayer:
Loving God, help me live today from the truth of Your love, not the world’s expectations. Clothe me with compassion and confidence in You. Amen.
