Information Links	Honeybee Haven The preschool ministry of Monroe United Methodist Church designed for children 3-5 years old. The program will enhance early learning by offering social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development through activities that will include large and small muscle play, art, language arts, reading readiness, math, science, music, dramatic play, sensory motor, and lots of free play, both indoors and outside. Honeybee Haven will offer Christian values through prayer and Bible stories. 3/Young 4 Year Old Class (must be 3 years old before October 1^st and must be potty trained) Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am – 11:30am This class will be designed to help young preschoolers socially interact with others while adjusting to being away from home for the first time. Weekly themes will be introduced and children will have opportunities to choose activities as well as participate in teacher-led activities. A daily “Circle Time” will start the program and introduce calendar, weather, birthdays, name and number recognition, daily helpers and other interesting preschool things. Children will be served a healthy snack. 4/Young 5 Year Old Class Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9:00 – 11:30am This class will focus on kindergarten readiness by helping preschoolers learn to listen, follow directions, and get used to classroom routines while benefiting from a small class situation. Early learning standards will center on language arts, math, social studies, while science, art, music, physical and social skills will also be incorporated. Letter and number recognition will be offered daily, along with pencil and scissor skills. Children will be served a healthy snack.
